For 98 years, Viticus Group’s WVC has brought the veterinary community together in Las Vegas for a major annual conference featuring education, exhibits, special events and entertainment. WVC has expanded its reach with the launch of WVC Nashville, creating an east coast event while continuing its flagship west coast conference in Las Vegas.

Challenge

As WVC approached its 100th anniversary, Viticus Group needed a partner capable of supporting its flagship Las Vegas event and expanding into Nashville. With more than 600 exhibitors filling the entire Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, expanding to a second city required a team that could bring WVC’s established standards, quality, and scale to a new market.

Solution

Fern became WVC’s general services contractor and strategic partner for both Las Vegas and Nashville, bringing the same core team with national resources and local expertise. After introducing FlexFrame in Las Vegas, Fern brought it to Nashville to elevate the show floor experience. Throughout both events, Fern collaborated with Nth Degree family of companies, INVNT and Nth Degree, to connect production, construction, speaker management and labor, easing the workload for Viticus Group.

Result

WVC successfully executed two major events, welcoming a total of 28,000 attendees – 80% of the inaugural Nashville attendees were new to WVC – and 927 exhibitors. Across key cities Las Vegas and Nashville, Fern managed 181,250 square feet of exhibit space and over 1.6 million pounds of freight.  The collaboration with the Fern, Nth Degree and INVNT family of companies also reduced the Viticus Group conference team’s workload by an estimated 25%, creating a strong foundation as WVC moves toward its 100th anniversary.
